How to Make LENOVO Screens Readable Outdoors

It's a beautiful day outside and you've got a laptop. Why not trade in your office for your backyard? It sounds lovely until you actually sit down and realize that the sunlight that drew you out is also making your LENOVO R61 screen impossible to see. If you'd like to sit outside and type to the tune of the whistling birds and the sit amidst the warm breeze, here is how to improve the outdoor laptop experience.

1.Use a laptop with a matte screen. If you have a choice among laptops, or if you're shopping and want to keep your penchant for the outdoors in mind, look for laptops with screens that have a matte finish. Those with a glossy finish might look nicer indoors, but they'll reflect the sun all too well if you take them outside.

2.Work in the shade. Either find a spot under a tree, or set up a large beach umbrella. Not only will this make your laptop screen easier to see, but it'll also keep your laptop from overheating (especially if it's black). If you'd rather keep your body in the sun, keep only the laptop in the shade, and wear a hat with a brim to keep the sun from shining right in your eyes.

3.Hike up the luminosity (brightness) in your laptop's display settings. And since high luminosity usually means high power consumption (LENOVO R61 screen need the most energy in a laptop) you'll probably need to depend on an outlet, rather than a laptop battery. Bring an extension cord.

4.Consider either buying or making a 'laptop hood'. This is white on the outside (to reduce heat buildup) and black on the inside (to reduce glare).

5.Wear a dark colored shirt, it will not reflect the sunlight onto the display.
